Mint Purple Studio is in it’s 7th year of designing, 4th year of family photography and somewhere along the way we managed to gather friends from all over the world. To thank you and give back to our friends, I would like to ring in 2017 with a Thank You Giveaway – a one year Click Magazine subscription to one lucky winner.
I blogged about Click Magazine in my holiday swag post and absolutely LOVE it. Friends often ask where my creative inspiration comes from, how my images are so crisp, what camera I use and why. Well, many of those answers come from formal classroom instruction but often also come from reading Click!
The magazine writes about all things photography related, is super inspirational and the articles are written by some of the best female photographers in the photography industry. The best part is you do not have to be a professional photographer to absorb the magazine material. I started out reading Click because I just wanted to take better photographs of my babies many years ago! If you love gorgeous photography that is authentic and truly captures the here and now, you want to be reading Click! (Just a note, I am not being sponsored by Click for this giveaway. I love mid-December because Mint Purple Studio is wrapping up end of the year client work and business housekeeping. It’s time to plan for 2017 – who, what, when to shoot and nail down what fun photography continuing education classes to take. Also very importantly, a few weeks of much needed staycation time with the family as well as holiday gift shopping!

This photoshoot was perhaps one of our favorite ones of the year! This wonderful family has been waiting a whole year because I was already fully booked last year when mommy’s inquiry arrived. I really wanted to give this extraordinarily patient family something magical and suggested our holiday theme to be something gold, neutral yet fun. We seriously had a blast on the day of the shoot. Big brother and I had a lot of fun singing together. Baby brother wasn’t having it at first but with a little coaxing and more singing he played right along with big brother. From styling, set building, photoshoot to film, nothing was short of magical <3. An awesome photoshoot should produce amazing photos but also be super fun and a great experience for everyone involved! What a spectacular way to end holiday shooting season. Thank you for being such dedicated clients and happy holidays!

Lady G was beautiful like art. Mommy requested Lady G’s 100 day milestone theme to be lavender, pink, lacey, angelic with princess crowns. I love when moms have a specific vision in mind because all that detail gives me the ability as an artist to craft a truly unique set for my clients to be photographed in. And that is exactly what happened! We are absolutely in love with princess Lady G laying beautifully in her luxuriously soft macrame bowl bed. Happy 100 days Lady G!
