{Photography} Fall Maternity

As I prepare the studio for when I go on maternity leave, I’ve been busy working on the business side of the studio (marketing, stocking up on newborn props & blankets, scheduling last minute sessions).  But I wanted to take a little time for this busy momma and take some maternity pics.  Debated on whether I would hire a fellow photog to do a session but I know I’d be completely OCD and want to edit their photos.  So after more thought, decided to shoot the session myself with a trusty tripod.  My husband also helped by snapping photos, some under my art direction.

The session started out tough because it was really cold that morning around 40 degrees F!  We were able to relax a bit after moving indoors but I think we got the best shots towards the end of the session.  The most important thing in doing a self-shoot is really to try and relax on the other side of the camera.  The self direction is hard but luckily hubby and I both love the camera.

I’m now 33 weeks and we are so excited for this little lady to make her appearance.  Although cold and a challenging session, I’m so glad to be able to capture this special moment for us <3
